Kim Spaan didn't always know she had two products in one until one day a woman walking by her hats at a craft show asked, "'Is that a purse?' And I thought, no, but it will be by the end of the day."
Lollitops are now patented. "Because we're a major brand now, they can't come in and copy it. Being a hat that turns into a purse. But also this particular crocheted hat."
